What to Expect from the GoTravel GoActive service by Milestone Station

Initial Consultation is free (Normally $75/hour):

The Initial Consultation can be used to go over travel or training for your next goal, event… adventure.  For the best chance to make your experience a great success, the service starts with a Consultation/Video Call to go over your needs. After selecting your next adventure (bike tour, marathon, triathlon, you name it) for event travel, we may be looking at what travel, stay, and equipment wants/needs are, for event training, we may be doing goal setting, training review, and equipment/facility access.

Training Plan and Review:

Each endurance event and active-travel-tour is shaped by its unique characteristics that when put together make up the performance you must deliver. Once we identify these characteristics, which include distance, terrain, and environmental conditions, we need to look at your current ability to meet these demands. From here, I will build a preliminary training plan that lays out the path from where we are today to where we can meet the demands of your adventure…. event day(s).

For progress to happen the body must adapt to training. The Training Plan sets the pathway for this. Even when a pathway is set for training, life has a way of wanting to create its own path. That may come by a scheduling conflict or by your own body saying that I am adapting a lot faster or slower than initially expected. Depending on your level of service your training will be reviewed daily, weekly, or by block and your plan can be adapted to suit the needs identified.

Movement Analysis:

Movement analysis in simple terms is the observation of your movements in training during your preparation for a goal event. Initially this can be done with videos of the last six months, followed by regular review. In-Person Movement Analysis can substitute Video Analysis but will be considered as Consultation Time.

  • for Swimming a recording from the Side and Front, from above and below water,
  • for Cycling a recording from the Side, Front, and Back (Center on mid-thigh, can ride on trainer),
  • for Running a recording from the Side, Front, and Back (Center on hips, can run on treadmill).

Training PeaksTM Premium:

Training Peaks is an online program and phone app that allows coaches to share a training program with an individual who in return can share objective and subjective training data in the same calendar. I will upgrade you to a Premium account as soon as I start coaching you.

Message/Chat:

A lot of communication does not have to be scheduled and can be short text messages, chats, or over a call lasting less than 10 minutes. This can resolve most of the queries. If the client uses this excessively, a notice may be sent indicating possible charge of hourly consultation rate.

Consultation/Video Call:

Consultations are scheduled appointments that cover topics such as Training, Event Preparation, or Active Travel. This can be done via Video Call or in person (see Soflotri Here). You can find me on location for several events, for a list click Here.

For those with a Training + Travel Option…

  • The first two hours in a 4-week block are $75 per hour, then it drops down to $50 per hour
  • Individuals receiving Option 3 Support have the first hour included.
  • Individuals receiving Option 4 Support have the first two hours included.
  • Consultations are invoiced at the end of each 4-week Block

For those receiving support for Active Travel alone the price for consultations remains $75 per hour and are invoiced at the end of each week.

Event-Day Performance Plan:

The performance plan is a plan for the individual performing on event-day(s) from feet up before the start and concluding with feet up post event. We will cover performance strategies including nutrition.

Event-Week Run Sheet:

Event Week has to do with a general plan/schedule for the days leading up to and including your event-day(s) and can include travel days to and from the event location. This will also include an extension of your performance plan allowing for a seamless transition.

Event Travel Plan:

The Event Travel Plan has to do with travel that has a direct impact with event participation. We will go over what options/suppliers that are out there that best fit your needs. This may include stay, travel, and equipment… Plus some possible fun excursions around the destination.
